Internal Control Specialist

Internal Control team:

We are looking for our next Internal Control Specialist to support the design, implementation, and validation of the Institution’s Internal Control System (ICS), ensuring compliance with applicable banking regulations (CUB, Banco de México Circulars, LIC, among others) and strengthening controls that mitigate operational risk across critical business processes.

 

Challenges that await you:

• Monitor and validate compliance with the objectives and guidelines of the Internal Control System against current banking regulations (CUB, Banco de México Circulars, LIC).
• Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls across operational, financial, and regulatory compliance processes, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Design and implement controls aimed at mitigating operational risk, in coordination with business areas, the Comprehensive Risk Management Unit (UAIR), and each department’s Paladines.
• Perform independent control effectiveness testing (using risk-based sampling) and document results with traceable supporting evidence.
• Develop and maintain checklists and risk-control matrices (PRC) for the processes under review.
