POSITION SUMMARY The Full-Time Promotores de Salud (PdS) sits within the Community Engagement (CE) department and serves as a bridge between Spanish-speaking immigrant and under/uninsured communities and Planned Parenthood of Greater New York’s (PPGNY) services and ensuring equitable access to care. This role builds trust, provides culturally responsive outreach and education, connects community members to PPGNY health centers and other resources, and supports patients during appointments. The PdS will conduct outreach and education across NYC and Nassau County, make appointments, provide interpretation and support to patients, and collaborate with community-based organizations, local leaders, and internal departments. This position is NYC-based and requires regional travel. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program Support (50%) Conduct in-person and remote community outreach across NYC and Nassau County neighborhoods to disseminate sexual and reproductive health information and connect community members to PPGNY services. Identify, build and grow partnerships with local businesses, community leaders and community-based organizations Facilitate in-person and remote group education sessions and workshops in community venues (e.g., community-based organizations, consulates, laundromats, salons).
