Position Summary:
Allied Consultants (ACI), a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking a Junior Retirement Plan Administrator to join our team and take ownership of an assigned caseload of defined contribution retirement plans. This role will support the administration of 401(k) and cross-tested retirement plans, assist with annual compliance testing, communicate directly with clients, and develop a strong understanding of plan operations and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and client-focused, with a willingness to learn and grow within the retirement plan administration field. This position will work closely with Senior Plan Administrators and other team members to develop technical knowledge, strengthen client relationships, and ensure assigned plans are administered accurately and efficiently.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is based in our Chino Hills, CA office and requires regular in-person attendance. We value collaboration and believe that working together on-site fosters strong teamwork, communication, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned caseload of defined contribution retirement plans with guidance and support from senior team members.
- Support the day-to-day administration of 401(k), cross-tested, and other defined contribution retirement plans.
- Assist with annual compliance and nondiscrimination testing, including gathering and reviewing plan and participant data.
- Perform basic nondiscrimination testing and assist with resolving testing issues.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding plan provisions, administration, testing, and other retirement plan matters.
- Research retirement plan compliance and administrative topics and present findings to clients and/or internal team members as appropriate.
- Develop knowledge of plan documents, plan provisions, and applicable retirement plan regulations.
- Shadow Senior Plan Administrators to build knowledge and proficiency in plan testing, administration, and documentation.
- Utilize technology and available systems efficiently to complete administrative, testing, and client service responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate and organized plan and client information.
- Monitor assigned plans and proactively identify outstanding items, deadlines, and client needs.
- Take ownership of the stewardship of assigned business relationships and contribute to a positive client experience.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as requested.
- Work collaboratively with team members and assist with other areas of the business appropriate to the level and scope of the position.
- Maintain a team-oriented approach by communicating effectively, sharing information, and supporting colleagues as needed.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, accounting, or other similarly related field.
- 1–3 years of retirement plan or related industry experience; 2–4 years of client service experience preferred.
- Experience with 401(k), defined contribution plans, or compliance testing is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong commitment to client service.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and communicate solutions.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Proactive, dependable, and professional, with a willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve.

Success in this role will come from developing a strong foundation in retirement plan administration while becoming increasingly independent in managing an assigned caseload. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships with clients, consistently meet deadlines, produce accurate work, ask thoughtful questions, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibility over time.
Pay Transparency Statement:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $27-$35 per hour.
At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
