Requirements

Tesla Laboratories is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support Design Technical Support (DTS) services for the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW), Planning Design and Construction Directorate, Design Division (PDC4). This position supports the existing NAVFAC workforce and provides increased capability for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects and associated efforts undertaken by NAVFAC Northwest customers within the NAVFAC Northwest Area of Responsibility (Puget Sound area).

Perform geotechnical engineering tasks, including:

Office and in-field consultation/monitoring of design and construction projects involving building vertical and lateral force resisting systems, retaining structures, utility structures, or waterfront structures (piers, dry docks, wharves, etc.) using DoD UFC or industry codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC) and ASCE 7 Minimum Design Loads for Buildi
