Job Description
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Production Engineer to be the bridge between R&D and Production. You will lead our new systems through the NPI process, make sure designs are ready for manufacturing and assembly, and validate them in prototype builds. Once in series production, you own the quality loop: non-conformities, root causes and engineering changes, so that what production learns flows straight back into the design.
The day-to-day
- NPI leadership: drive the New Program Introduction (NPI) for new systems and variants, from first prototype to production release, as the interface between R&D and Production.
- Issue tracking: own the NPI issue tracker, prioritise open points with R&D and drive them to closure before release.
- DFM/DFA: lead and coordinate design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly reviews and bring production requirements into the design early.
- Prototype builds & validation: plan and run prototype
