Position Overview

The Lab Assistant plays an important role in supporting laboratory operations and patient care within West Cancer Center. This position is responsible for preparing stains, solutions, and culture media, performing waived and moderately complex laboratory tests, and maintaining accurate specimen records. The Lab Assistant also assists with venipuncture as requested by the directing physician and helps ensure a safe and efficient laboratory environment by following all safety and infection control protocols.
